Enrollment

Our applications for the 2027-2028 school year will open January 1, 2027.

Applications will be due by April 1, 2027.

Application Process

Wildflower Upstate New York Charter School is a tuition-free public charter school open to all children living in New York State. Your student does not have to live in Ballston Spa Central School District to attend, though that is where our facility will be located.

If more applications are received than available seats, students are selected through a random lottery. Families will be notified of their child’s lottery results and any waitlist status after the lottery takes place.

Our Commitment to Inclusion

Wildflower Upstate New York Charter School is dedicated to providing an inclusive learning environment that supports students of all abilities. In alignment with our mission to ensure equitable access and opportunity for every child, our enrollment lottery includes a weighted preference for students with disabilities, as permitted under New York State law.

During enrollment, if you indicate that your child has an IEP (Individualized Education Plan) or a 504 Plan, they will receive an additional entry in the lottery. This system reflects our commitment to our inclusive model and our vision of fostering a school community where all students can thrive. Verification of disability documentation may be requested before final enrollment.

The child who has felt a strong love for his surroundings and for all living creatures, who has discovered joy and enthusiasm in work, gives us reason to hope that humanity can develop in a new direction.
